Bobbin & Lace Work
Bobbin lacemaking can be traced back around 500 years. It is one of the oldest methods of making lace. The thread is wound onto bobbins and woven together and pins put into hold it in place. In this course students are given one on one tuition and systemically taken through various techniques building up a wide knowledge of the various types of lace. Students with prior knowledge are encouraged to extend their skills in trying out a range of laces both British and continental.
